Dell Adds to Studio Line

Dell has announced the global launch of the Studio Desktop and Studio Slim Desktop - the newest additions to Dell's Studio line.

With a starting price of Rs. 53,400, these PCs include standard graphic support for DirectX10, optional Blu-ray Disc players and built-in HDMI for easy connections to HDTVs. The new Studio desktops feature a glossy black design finish and users can choose from the Dell Studio Desktop, with a traditional mini-tower chassis, or the Dell Studio Slim Tower, that's good for space-constrained environments.
The systems feature six USB 2.0 ports (2 front, 4 back), a built-in 1394a port, integrated graphics that support DirectX 10, HDMI output for connecting to an HDTV or high-definition display, Gigabit Ethernet, built-in 16-in-1 media card reader and 350 Watt power supply on the Studio Desktop and 250 Watt power supply on the Studio Slim Desktop.Optional features include video card upgrades from ATI, Blu-ray Disc drives, Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi, Built-in TV tuner with remote control and a Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Dell Unveils Sub-$1000 Blu-ray Laptop

Dell is offering a Blu-ray laptop, the Inspiron 1525, for under $1000.Available from today on dell.com, movie buffs can pick up the laptop with optional Blu-ray disc playback starting at $879.
The Inspiron 1525 laptop features a 15.4-inch high definition wide aspect display with 720p resolution. It also includes an HDMI port for easy connectivity to high resolution displays and HDTVs.The Blu-ray player disc drive is fully backwards compatible, and will play as well as burn traditional DVDs and CDs. Consumers can also choose a Blu-ray burner drive for backing up and storing important files like digital photos, videos, financial records, etc. A Blu-ray disc can hold up to 50 GB of data, vs. 8.5 GB available on the typical DVD disc.

The Inspiron 1525 offers designs like Chill, Blossom and Commotion, in colors like Sunshine Yellow, Midnight Blue and Ruby Red.Dell Inspiron 1525 laptops with Blu-ray disc drives incorporate Broadcom Media PC technology that allows PCs with integrated graphics to play high definition video. The high-definition video playback is enabled through a built-in dedicated accelerator located in a mini-card slot.The Inspiron 1525 features Dell MediaDirect technology, which provides one button instant access to media files, even if the system is powered off or in hibernation mode. Optional accessories include a slim travel power adapter ($80), Dell travel remote control that slips into the ExpressCard slot ($22), and Creative noise-isolation earphones ($25). First Rugged Laptop by DELL

Dell has unveiled its first fully ruggedized laptop, the Latitude XFR D630. The rugged laptop, intended for government and commercial customers, is available in the U.S. and starts at $3,899. The Latitude XFR D630 meets MIL-STD 810F standards from the Department of Defense for products that operate in extreme temperatures, moisture and altitude. The system shares common images and components with Dell's current line of Latitude laptops to greatly simplify deployment and maintenance."The Latitude XFR D630 represents a tectonic shift towards simplicity in the ruggedized laptop space," said Brett McAnally, director, Dell Product Group. "We are taking a multi-dimensional approach that focuses on simplified deployment, service and durability without sacrificing performance. Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC

First I gave you information on the Electrovaya Scribbler Tablet PC and now I bring to you the recently launched Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC.
That is right, Dell Latitude XT Tablet Pc the is available now. Dell's first Tablet PC has been the talk of the Web for months. The XT looks like a solid tablet PC and it is believed to be a great competitor to other Tablet PCs.
The Latitude XT is being marketed toward business professionals, thus the reason it is so thin and light. The XT is packed full of features that are sure to please anyone, the only caveat is that Dell left out an optical drive to keep it thin -- there is an optional Media Base if you need that though. The Latitude XT sports either a 1.06GHz Core 2 Solo ULV processor or a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo ULV processor. The XT also has a touchpad and a track stick, so navigating around on this tablet should be easy.

Dell is trying to change the tablet scene around with the XT and its dual-mode digitizer technology that is supposed to offer improvement in tablet usability. The XT uses the N-trig digitizer technology, which supports both pen and touch input, while improving accuracy and using less power.

The XT is the perfect travel companion considering it is lightweight and the 45W power adapter is very light as well. The battery life is claimed to last an entire work day or around 9.5 hours with the battery slice. Even the media base is portable for those of you who have to have an optical drive. The pen even comes with multiple tip options so users can customize their own writing experience. Road warriors and college students are rejoicing.
