Logitech Wireless Desktop Offers 3 Years of Battery Life

Logitech has introduced the its Wireless Desktop MK710 - a keyboard-and-mouse combination that features up to three years of battery life.

"No one thinks about changing batteries until they have to, but when that time comes, it can stop you in your tracks," said Rory Dooley,Logitech ’s senior vice president and general manager of the Control Devices business unit. "With its industry-first three-year battery life for a combo, you might just forget theLogitech Wireless Desktop MK710 uses batteries at all."

The combination of three years of battery life and the leave-in Logitech Unifying receiver ensures the Wireless Desktop MK710 is always ready. To achieve three years of battery life, Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology transmits information much faster and more efficiently than typical 27 MHz wireless systems. Furthermore, by reducing the amount of time the keyboard and mouse remain in active mode when left idle, the Wireless Desktop MK710 conserves power and minimizes lag when you resume typing or mousing.

First introduced in August 2009, the tiny Logitech Unifying receiver is so small it can stay in your laptop when you’re moving around. And, a single receiver can be paired with up to six Unifying-compatibleLogitech keyboards and mice — freeing up valuable USB ports.

The low-profile keyboard features Logitech Incurve keys and a cushioned palm rest. With their concave design, Incurve keys support the shape of the fingertips, while helping guide fingers to the right keys. In addition, the soft, rounded edges make it easy for fingers to glide from key to key. An LCD dashboard gives at-a-glance status for Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, Num Lock and battery life.

The midsize laser mouse delivers smooth tracking on a variety of surfaces and and Hyper-fast scrolling lets users fly through long documents. Logitech has launched recently a new gaming accessory, the Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard. This cool device has 25 programmable keys, 3 game modes and a programmable analogue stick.

It also has a 160 x 43 Game Panel LCD display , which you can use to display game

statistics or messages from other players.

It comes pre-programmed with settings for some games ( for example World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings online ) and you can program your own settings and if you want and store them on the built in 20MB of memory. In that way you can take them with you to your next LAN contest.

Logitech Game Controller With Cooling System Launched

Logitech has unveiled a new game controller with a built-in fan-based cooling system, designed to keep the hands of gamers cool and dry.The plug-and-play, full-speed USB Logitech ChillStream controller for PC works on Windows XP computers (with the latest service pack), and with Windows Vista. The metal grille that covers the air intake at the base of the controller accents the controller's silver-and-black color scheme. The controller features Logitech's patented floating D-pad, which uses four points of contact instead of a single pivot point - a design that resists side-to-side tipping inherent in other controllers, making the controller more precise. The controller's analog stick has been machine-tested to perform at least one million circular revolutions, ensuring that it can handle the rigors of gaming over a long period of time.

Logitech's exclusive ChillStream Technology includes a built-in 40 mm fan that circulates up to 3.41 cubic feet of air every minute. Because of the fan's compact size, Logitech can deliver the ChillStream feature in a standard-size controller. Three narrow vents on each side of the controller push air directly onto the four fingers, the base of the thumb and the palm of the hand. The air stream has three settings - continuous, interval, or off. In the interval mode, the air stays on for 15 seconds, then turns off for 30 seconds. Speakers for Gamers by Logitech

Logitech today expanded the G-series of PC gaming peripherals, with the Logitech G51, a 5.1 speaker system featuring 360-degree surround sound with dual Matrix modes for a more immersive gaming experience.

Using Logitech's proprietary Matrix surround sound technology, the G51 speakers split the audio signal into six channels of sound, without degrading the audio quality. That means, even if their game doesn't provide six-channel audio, people can enjoy it anyway. Wireless Stereo Headset for Net by Logitech at CeBIT 2008

Today at CeBIT, Logitech unveiled its first wireless stereo headset designed for Internet calling with a PC.
The Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless enables people to move freely up to 33 feet (10 meters) from their computer. The headset features 2.4 GHz wireless technology and the included USB transmitter, the headset connects to a PC or Mac computer right out of the box. It also features proprietary laser-tuned audio driversa and a noise-canceling microphone on a flexible boom that adjusts to the desired distance from the mouth. Volume and microphone mute controls are located on the right earpiece and the microphone automatically mutes when rotated to an upright position. The microphone emits a soft, red glow when muted.
The ClearChat PC Wireless headset features a padded headband and plush ear pads and works with Internet calling applications, including Skype, Windows Live, Yahoo!, Google Talk and AIM and will be available in the U.S. and Europe in May for a suggested retail price of $99.99.Source: Tech2

Cordless Wave Desktop introduced by Logitech

Logitech has unveiled its "Cordless Desktop Wave" comprising a cordless keyboard with 'Comfort Wave Design', and a cordless laser mouse.
The keyboard, according to Logitech, combines three elements; namely, a wave key-frame design, U-shaped constant curve, and cushioned contoured palm rest. While the ambidextrous laser mouse is designed to complement the striking curved style and comfort of the keyboard. The keyboard's 'Comfort Wave Design' addresses the fundamental principle that fingers vary in length, and cradles them in a shape or contour supporting their actual lengths.
The keys are placed high at the A and Enter keys that are typically hit by the little finger. Moving inward towards the pointer finger, the keys decrease in height reaching the D and K keys that are typically hit by the longer middle finger.
The keys then move up again in height to accommodate the pointer finger at the G and H keys. The maximum distance between the keys' peaks and troughs, the lowest and highest keys, is 4 mm, the company said.
The U-shaped constant curve, Logitech claims, features a 5-degree curve that allows users' hands to open up and take a natural position instead of forcing the wrists to bend.
The keyboard also offers large, hot keys that can be mapped to launch folders, Web pages, or applications with the help of software. For Windows Vista users, shortcut keys activate Flip 3D as well as Windows Sidebar and gadgets.
Meanwhile, the cordless laser mouse features pixel-precise laser tracking and a soft rubber grip. Both the mouse and the keyboard feature a battery indicator light that alerts users when battery power is low, eliminating the hassle of unexpectedly losing power.
Logitech's "Cordless Desktop Wave" is priced at Rs 4,995, and comes with a three-year warranty.Source
