As most of you have already realized by now, Grand Theft Auto IV's Indian release has been delayed. We got in touch with the game's local distributors who could not give us a new date but they're optimistic about getting the game within a week or so.
The reason the game's been delayed is because Take Two is facing acute shortage and since India is not a high priority market we just have to sit patiently and wait till they send us stock. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened to us and I'm dead sure it's not the last time.Source

BioShock 2 officially announced
Take-Two Games just announced that their last year’s success story - BioShock - is all set to re-emerge from the murky depths towards the end of 2009. The game will be developed by the new 2K Marin Studio, which could mean that Ken Levine might not be as big a part of the game, as he was in the original. There’s no mention of whether the game will be a prequel or a sequel, or perhaps follow an alternate storyline in the world of Rapture. With such a well-conjured world in their hands, the developer could shape the game around any part of its timeline. We’ll keep you updated as and when we come across details.Source

Take-Two sued by its Shareholder over EA bid
Following the revelation of Take-Two rejecting the Electronic Arts (EA) $2-billion bid on February 24, one of Take Two's shareholders has sued the company for rejecting the offer, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. The suit reportedly filed in Delaware Chancery Court on Friday, March 29, 2008, alleges that Take-Two top executives wanted to make a buck for themselves at the shareholders' expense by way of a 'compensation agreement'. The opportunity for the Take-Two bigwigs, apparently, came into being after EA made an alternate private offer to them for taking over the company. The two law firms who've filed the suit are Prickett, Jones and Elliott, Schiffrin, Barroway, Topaz & Kessler. They have named Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick and CEO Benjamin Feder as defendants. For the uninformed, Take-Two is the maker of the wildly popular "Grand Theft Auto" or GTA series of video games.Source | |
