Acer's new ultra-small form factor desktops have arrived in the Indian subcontinent. They're being called "3-litre" desktops because of their volume -- pretty small. The "Ultra Mini" Aspire L5100 and L3600 are designed for home users with a yen for style, ergonomics, and portability -- with a generous dose of processing power thrown in.
Both models sport a sleek, Steel-Black frame. Acer claims the frame is about a tenth of the size and a quarter of the weight of a conventional tower desktop. External features include a 19-inch TFT display and a slim keyboard with soft-touch keys, blue LED lighting, 17 hotkeys, and a volume knob. The L3600 is powered by an Intel Pentium E2140 dual-core processor @ 1.6 GHz, while the L5100 is powered by an AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ @ 2.1 GHz.
Both systems have 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and a 160 GB, 7200 rpm SATA hard disk. Both come with Linux installed, and come with a 16x DVD-R/W Super-Multi Drive.
The desktops both support Multimedia Card (MMC), Secure Digital (SD), xD-Picture Card (xD), Memory Stick PRO (MS PRO), and Memory Stick (MS). They are available at all of Acer's registered retail and channel outlets. Together with an optical mouse and USB 2.0 speakers, the Aspire L3600 retails at Rs 26,999, and the Aspire L5100 at Rs 24,999.Source : Techtree
