Zotac Launches Synergy Edition Card Range

Zotac has introduced its new GeForce Synergy Edition graphics card lineup - the GeForce 9800GT Synergy Edition and GeForce 9600GT Synergy Edition - that delivers the gaming experience of Nvidia's GeForce 9 graphics processors to budget-minded gamers and enthusiasts. 

"As PC gaming demands increase, more graphics power is needed to deliver a smooth experience. Our new Zotac GeForce Synergy Editions delivers the power of our award winning GeForce 9800GT and GeForce 9600GT series at a value price," said Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International.
The 9800GT packs the power of 112 stream processors while the 9600GT packs 64 stream processors. Both models are equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 memory connected to a wide 256-bit memory interface for smooth high-definition gaming capabilities. Nvidia PhysX technology empowers the new Zotac GeForce Synergy Editions with physics processing capabilities for realistic environmental interactivity in supported games.The card's availability and pricing is unknown as of now.

Samsung Launches New Music Handsets

Samsung has announced its newest series of music phones, Samsung BEATb (model: M3510) and Samsung BEATs (model: M3200) as the starters of the company’s music phone line, "The BEAT Edition". These new handsets come in the form of a bar and slider design respectively. Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecommunication Business, said the music phone market is one of the fastest growing areas in the mobile industry and still has potential to further grow. "Samsung hopes to set our own music mobile identity with the latest BEAT edition," said Choi, adding that Samsung plans to continuously strengthen its music phone line.Digital Natural Sound engine, also known as DNSe, which is inherited from Samsung's own audio technology , provides more natural sound effects and helps reproduce a genuine 3D sound and deep bass resonance.  
Samsung BEATb and Samsung BEATs offer a variety of music dedicated features. 'Auto EQ' function automatically turns the equalizer into the best setting according to the genre and type of the music users listen to. By recording and sending a tune to Shazam server, users can easily track down and even purchase the song, through participating ioperators’ music stores, just like Sony Ericsson’s TrackId.

Samsung BEATb and Samsung BEATs come with 'Motion Play' feature, which enables users to control their music with a few simple motions. For instance, users can play or pause music simply by tapping their phone. By flipping the phone, the music is muted and the phone is automatically set on etiquette mode. Moreover, by simple shaking the phone, users can play the next song or previous song. Sounds familiar…? 
Besides the Motion Play feature, Samsung BEATb and Samsung BEATs also feature physical music control keys on the outside. Users can immediately play, stop, pause, fast forward or rewind music using these control keys even when working on other tasks such as sending text messages and playing mobile games. Samsung BEATb and Samsung BEATs are available in unique and vivid accent colors.


BEATs -  M3200

The BEATs (model: M3200) is a slider type music phone with a sleek MP3 player-alike design. Besides all the music dedicated features, Samsung BEATs is equipped with an amplifier by B&O ICEpower as well as a stereo speaker to provide even-better sound quality to users. Samsung BEATb, the first to be launched from The BEAT Edition will be available in September. Samsung BEATs will soon follow in October.

Kingston Launches HyperX Pen Drives in India

Kingston has just announced that it is expanding its line of USB Flash drives with the introduction of the DataTraveler HyperX (DT HyperX) model. Designed for ultra-fast read/write speeds and lower price points, the DT HyperX drive is available in capacities up to 8 GB.  


“Taking its cue from our HyperX line of industry-setting high-speed memory modules for gamers, enthusiasts and overclockers, the DataTraveler HyperX offers exceptionally fast read and write speeds,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Product Manager, APAC Region, Kingston
The DT HyperX has data transfer rates of 30MB/sec. read and 20MB/sec. write. Designed to run on any Windows platform but specifically enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost on Vista-based systems, users can expect to quickly and easily transfer photos, videos, music and data to their desktop , notebook etc. The new Data Traveler HyperX is backed by a five-year warranty and free technical support.
The DT HyperX flash drives are available in 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB capacities and are priced at Rs. 3,860, Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 11,115 respectively.
