Earn from Web Hosting.....

A web hosting service is one which allows people to have their own web space and create a website. A free web hosting service is a web hosting service that is free, usually where one can earn by placing advertisements. Free web hosts usually provide a sub-domain (yoursite.example.com) or a directory (www.example.com/~yourname). In contrast, paid web hosts will usually provide a second-level domain along with the hosting (www.yourname.com). Many free hosts do allow use of separately-purchased domains. Rarely, a free host may also operate as a domain name registrar.

Another type of web hosting service is the one which has an annual or a monthly charge. If someone pays the desired amount by a web host then they get the desired domain name. By reading this you will wonder that these web hosting companies earn a lot. I f you think so, then you are absolutely correct, because this is a multi-million dollar industry. Their main aim is to provide the users the maximum benefit. The few of the most promising web hosts that are present in the market are InMotion, WebHostingPad, Globat etc.

Now after hearing the money factor you must be wondering how to venture into this business. Well to venture in this business there are some tips that one should follow. If you want to make good money from the internet then this is the work to do. To understand how to make this work successful one should go through some web hosting articles or web hosting tutorials which are usually availlable on the intenet. Actually these tutorials are quite easy to follow and this work is quite easy to implement, so in other words Web Hosting is an easy source of income from the internet.

Want to make Vista shut down faster? - Read this !!!

When you use Windows Vista for the first few days you see that the shut down time is not really a problem. But as time passes by you will see that slowly and gradually the shut down time of Windows Vista increases considerably and takes a toll on your patience.

So, here is a Registry tweak that helps make your Vista experience a lot better.

Step 1: Open the Registry Editor by going to the Start Menu, and typing regedit in the Search bar and then pressing Enter.

Step 2: Within the registry editor navigate to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control"

Step 3: Now, Edit the "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"="20000" by right clicking on the key and selecting Modify.

The Default setting is at 20000 milliseconds (20 seconds). Just remember that the default settings are the safest settings for your computer.

It is a bit risky to change this value as this is a system setting. But you can lower it in 4 seconds increments to see what is the best value that works for you.

Generally it is recommended not lower the value more than 3-5 seconds because if you do this you can cause your computer to shut down improperly or lose data while shutting down.

I hope this tweak was useful to you and please comment on what your observations were.

Luxury Edition MOTOMING

The latest MOTO MING from Motorola, the A1600 packed with GPS capabilities, was launched in India last month. For some inane reason though, apparently not taking into considering the current state of the world’s economy, the company has recently unveiled a new version of the A1600, a Luxury Edition in Gold that, according to reports, comes with a Cartier business card holder.

The handset, that I’d like to call the Ming with Bling is available in Taiwan for an outrageous price of Rs. 42,995 ($867). I’m wondering if mobile manufacturers really get the word 'recession' with handsets like the INNOV8 and HTC Touch Pro being launched in the country.Source

Intel's i7

Intel Corporation unveiled its most advanced desktop processor ever, the Intel Core i7 processor in the country today.

The Core i7 processor is the first member of a new family of Nehalem processor designs and is the most sophisticated ever built, with new technologies that boost performance on demand and maximize data throughput. The Core i7 processor speeds video editing, immersive games and other popular Internet and computer activities by up to 40 percent without increasing power consumption.

"Intel has delivered the fastest desktop processor on Earth to the most demanding users on Earth, the ones who are using their PCs for video, gaming and music," said Patrick Gelsinger, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's Digital Enterprise Group. "When you couple what is Intel's biggest leap in chip design with other incredible innovations like Intel's solid state drives, the Core i7 processor has redefined the computer of tomorrow."

Intel's Turbo Boost Technology accelerates performance to match a computer user's needs and workloads. Through a sophisticated on-die power control unit and using new "power gate" transistors based on Intel's advanced 45 nanometer, high-k metal gate manufacturing process, Turbo Boost automatically adjusts the clock speed of one or more of the four individual processing cores for single- and multi-threaded applications to boost performance, without increasing power consumption.

The Core i7 also has the latest Intel power-saving technologies, allowing desktops to go into sleep states formerly reserved for Intel-based notebooks.

The Core i7 processor more than doubles the memory bandwidth of previous Intel "Extreme" platforms, speeding the transfer of computer bits and bites in and out of the processor with Intel Quickpath Technology. Designed with Intel's Hyper-Threading Technology, the processor also allows multiple computing threads to run simultaneously, effectively enabling it to do two things at once. As a result, the Core i7 quad-core processor delivers 8-threaded performance.

The Intel Core i7 processor also offers unrivaled performance for immersive 3-D games - over 40 percent faster than previous Intel high-performance processors on both the 3DMark Vantage CPU physics and AI tests. The Extreme Edition uses 8 threads to run games with advanced artificial intelligence and physics to make games act and feel real.

The Intel Core i7 processors and Intel X58 Express Chipset-based Intel Desktop Board DX58SO Extreme Series are for sale immediately from several computer manufacturers online and in retail stores, as well as a boxed retail product via channel online sales.

The Core i7 processor is the first member of the Intel Nehalem microarchitecture family; server and mobile product versions will be in production later. Each Core i7 processor features an 8 MB level 3 cache and three channels of DDR3 1066 memory to deliver the best memory performance of any desktop platform. Intel's top performance processor, the Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition, also removes overspeed protection, allowing customers or hobbyists to further increase the chip's speed.

Move to the Groove - iPods and MP3 players

Portable MP3 players and iPods are fast becoming the biggest sellers in the electronic industry mostly because of their cheap prices and because they are very handy and easy to use.

iPod is generally an MP3 player manufactured by Apple inc., but the other MP3 players manufactured by other companies are called by different names like Microsoft's Zune or the Creative Zen Mp3 player. So basically iPods and MP3 players are the same thing, only eith some similarities and some differences.

Similarities :
  • Both are MP3 players.
  • Both have versions whichare video capable and also those which are not video capable like the iPod shuffle.
  • Both can act as external data storage devices.
  • Both can be used to view pictures.

Altec Lansing's 2.2 Speaker System launched

Altec Lansing has introduced the new Expressionist BASS desktop speaker system calling it the industry's first 2.2 desktop speaker system.

The Expressionist BASS is a two-piece PC speaker set, housing dual down-firing, radiating subwoofers built into each base. The Expressionist BASS contains subwoofers within the system's freestanding, cone-shaped body – thus eliminating the need for a third, bulky, bass-amplifying component. The cone-shaped architecture of the new Expressionist BASS adds significant acoustic value to the speaker system, while the rounded body decreases harsh edge diffractions which can typically "color" audio to the listener's ear – resulting in efficient frequency responses with low distortion for much cleaner, more natural sound.

"The evolution of digital music and media has dramatically increased PC-centric playback, so Altec Lansing engineered this integrated system to audibly and aesthetically complement the desktop," said Vicki Marion, president of Altec Lansing. "The unique chassis of the new Expressionist BASS is built to appeal to both eye and ear by amplifying fidelity as well as contributing a bold, distinctive new look to today's multimedia systems. Expressionist BASS proves that powerful, natural sound performance can come in a compact, space-saving package."

The platform of the speaker system channels power amplification in a downward motion - to radiate sound off hard surfaces and reflect audio in a 360-degree field. 4" (100mm) long-throw subwoofers are built into the base of each speaker. Engineered with two 1½" (40mm) drivers, mid- and high- frequencies are compartmentalized so vocals and details come through with total clarity. The cone-shaped chassis is fitted with bezels and fasteners, visible connectors and drivers, heritage horn tweeter components and precision machined cage details.
The Expressionist BASS speaker system also features an auxiliary input to provide convenient connection to any MP3, CD and DVD player.
Altec Lansing Expressionist BASS (FX3022) system will be available at an estimated street price of Rs. 5490 through its National distributor Rashi Peripherals and its branches across the country.

Gibson's Robot Guitar 2nd Gen.....!

When Gibson launched the Robot Guitar we were itching to check it out, and check we did. The auto-tuning system combined with the true Gibson tone was truly amazing. Now Gibson has announced the second generation of limited edition Robot Guitar.

What more can Robot Guitar offer when the stress is on auto-tuning? Well, this time Gibson claims the tuning happens within seconds, enabling artists to change the tuning in the middle of a performance (song). Named Dark Fire, the guitar uses what Gibson calls the Chameleon Tone technology with "infinite number of tonal possibilities".

The Dark Fire's tone potentiometer and CPA have also been redesigned so that turning the tone knob allows a very intuitive and significant change in tone, thus giving you even more ability to dial in your desired tone. That apart, the Dark Fire's battery system and power circuit have also been improved to get nearly 500 tunings from a single charge. As an added plus, you can also play the Dark Fire while the battery system is being charged.
It makes use of the popular P90h (single coil pickup) in the neck position and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. The Dark Fire also gives you the ability to adjust and blend the acoustic sound from the piezo bridge pickup with the sound from the guitar's traditional pickups.

Another distinctive feature of the console is WiiConnect24, which enables it to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode. This is why the Nintendo Wii is one of the most popular gaming consoles in the whole world. The Wii is popular mainly because of its 3-D pointing device which makes movements on the screen as the users moves the remote controller. Overall the Wii is a value for money product and it is a great buy. Interested people can try out a price comparison with other gaming consoles and select the best product at the best price.

There are a wide variety of wii Games that are availlable in the market. When the Wii was launched on November the 19th, 2006 it was released with just 23 titles. But today when the Wii is about to celebrate its 2nd Anniversary it has hundreds of games to offer in the market. These games are availlable at various platforms of the market be it retail shops or online shops but cheap wii games are very easily availlable.

One of the most popular games for the Wii released this year is the wii fit which is an exercise game consisting of activities utilizing the Wii balance board peripheral. It calculates the BMI of a person, makes him/her do Yoga, Push-Ups and many other exercises. So it can be termed as the most health enhancing game ever made.

Another member of the nintendo family is the Nintendo DS which is a hendheld gaming console which has a dual-LCD screen.
