LG Rolls Out 2 New Camera Phones in India

LG is all set to strengthen their camera phone portfolio by announcing the launch of the LG KC550 and the LG Secret (KF750) in the Indian market.

Anil Arora, Business Group Head, Mobile, PCs and DAV, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd said, "Mobile users are aspiring for better quality images and we have responded to the market needs by launching the new range of 5 mega pixel camera phones. The LG KC550 and the LG Secret have a perfect blend of style and technology with numerous fascinating features in the camera phone segment. This comes after the very successful Viewty launch in the Indian market. Also, with these new launches, we hope to make the festive season more exciting for our consumers."

Equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, the LG Secret has Neon Touch Navigation buttons that respond to commands with illustrious effects in lavish blue. It also has motion sensor based games, auto luminance control and an interesting feature called "RockeTalk", a free, fun way to communicate using voice, pictures, video messaging with auto rotating display when text is not enough. The feature enables users to search for people they want to meet, check their profiles, pictures, audio profiles, details, share the same with friends and connect to a favorite messenger service (Yahoo, GTalk, MSN, AOL, ICQ).

The LG KC550 allows users to dedicate keys that can access the most frequently used camera functions with just one click. The camera has an LED flash and is equipped with a 5.0 mega-pixel camera imaging sensor and Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. The camera’s sensitivity can be set up to ISO 800 and the image stabilizer buffers unsteady hands for clearer images. It has a 2.4-inch LCD screen and the Auto Image Rotation displays the photo vertically or horizontally for proper viewing on the screen. For an even bigger picture, the Full TV-out function allows photos, games, documents, and videos to be viewed on the television screen.
The LG KC550 and LG Secret handsets are available in the Indian market for Rs. 14,990 and Rs. 18,990 respectively.

BlackBerry 9500 Storm Official - Storming into India...!

Here’s what we know about BlackBerry’s “Thunder” Storm - the 9500. It has a 3.25-inch TFT touch screen display with a 320 x 480 pixel resolution and an accelerometer for auto screen rotation. It has a 3.5mm earphone socket (thank you), microSD slot for external memory (8GB cards are good to go) and 1GB of internal storage to play around with. The 9500 also has a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash, a media player that supports DivX and XviD formats, internal GPS (with A-GPS) using Blackberry Maps, support for Stereo Bluetooth and USB v2.0. It's also a 3G ready handset, not that it matters to us at the moment.

The 9500 Storm employs some cutting edge technology like the world's first “clickable” touch-screen that responds like a physical keyboard and also supports single-touch, multi-touch and gestures for intuitive and efficient application navigation.

“We are proud to introduce the first touch-screen based BlackBerry smartphone together with Verizon Wireless and Vodafone,” said Mike Lazaridis, president and co-chief executive officer at RIM. “The BlackBerry Storm is a revolutionary touch-screen smartphone that meets both the communications and multimedia needs of customers and solves the longstanding problem associated with typing on traditional touch-screens. Consumers and business customers alike will appreciate this unique combination of a large and vibrant screen with a truly tactile touch interface.”

Specs aside here’s the big news. The BlackBerry 9500 Storm is going to be launched (according to the RIM) quite soon right here in India via Vodafone. There’s still no price yet so, stay tuned.
