Lenovo Unveils IdeaPad U110

Lenovo has announced the availability of the IdeaPad U110 consumer notebook PC in red and black on their website.

The notebook has a frameless screen, weighs less than 2.5 pounds and is 11 inches wide. It is equipped with VeriFace Face Recognition, so users can quickly and easily log-in without having to remember passwords. The U110 features a 120 GB hard drive, up to 3 GB of memory, Intel Centrino processing technology, a built-in camera, WLAN, Ethernet and Bluetooth (select models) connectivity, an external DVD burner and the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium operating system. The laptop comes with an additional battery for up to eight hours of battery life in total.
The U110 is equipped with Dolby Home Theatre and the MultiMedia Control Center with regard to multimedia and carries an MSRP of Rs. 98,000.Source

BenQ Introduces C36 Music Phone

BenQ has launched its successor to the BenQ C30, the BenQ C36 music phone.The 78g mobile phone features a 1.3-megapixel camera that supports AVI video recording and playback, and can double as a webcam when connected to a PC. It's also equipped with a 2" LCD display and top key design that brings direct access to FM radio, MP3 player and camera functions.


The C36's multimedia functions include a built-in FM radio with recording and schedule recording functions and an MP3 player that supports MP3, WAV, MIDI and AMR formats.The C36 also adds an e-book reader and a photo editor for touching up photos and comes with dual speaker for sharing music and a MicroSD card slot and USB connectivity.The BenQ C36 will be available in Indonesia in May with other countries to follow in the coming months.Source

Lenovo Ideapad Y710 to be Launched Soon

Designed for the entertainment enthusiast, the 17-inch IdeaPad Y710 notebook will be available in India by the end of this month.The notebook features a smooth blue metallic finish and halo lighting. An optional hot-swap secondary hard drive provides up to 500 GB of storage for games, movies and photos.

For the ultimate gaming experience, Lenovo offers models including Game Zone. These notebooks have oversized directional buttons and others that can be customized for easier control in the fast environment of gaming. Game Zone also includes a secondary display showing information like CPU speed. Users can power the notebook up to Turbo Mode for maximum power and drop down to a Quiet Mode to save energy. Apple iPod Shuffle Price Slashed

The Apple iPod Shuffle will now cost Rs. 2,700 for the 1GB model - that's down from Rs. 4500. Apple has introduced a new 2 GB model of the iPod shuffle for Rs. 3,200 before taxes."At just Rs. 2,300, the iPod shuffle is the most affordable iPod ever," said EY Yeo, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Apple Asia Pacific. "We've also introduced a new 2GB model that lets music lovers bring even more songs everywhere they go in the impossibly small iPod shuffle."
The iPod shuffle comes in four colors - silver, blue, green and purple with up to 12 hours of continuous audio playback. It syncs seamlessly with iTunes and the "Auto-fill" function allows the iPod shuffle to randomly select songs from a music library and sync them. "With most flash-memory music players, users must use tiny displays and complicated controls to find their music; with iPod shuffle you just relax and it serves up new combinations of your music every time you listen." said EY Yeo.Source
