9 new Handsets by Videocon

Videocon has launched nine more handsets taking its current offering from 12 handsets to a total of 21 handsets.

The range
of mobiles include basic colour models, phones with FM radio, single/dual/triple SIM, MP3 music, camera, multimedia and the latest touch, QWERTY and touch Window’s phones.

Videocon has already established a pan-Indian presence for its new range of cell-phones, and is poised to emerge as the largest Indian operator in the segment. The company is also aggressively spreading across the country by appointing an extensive network of dealers and distributors, with an emphasis on reach and penetration.

On the music category front various models comprise - V204, an entry colour FM phone that allows to record and play, and V1300, which adds a handy Ultra Violet Currency Checker.

The camera phones in the range are the 3.2MP V1705, the 2MP V1602 and the entry-level V1402. The music-centric V1420 has a 3.5mm jack to connect to external speakers.

In the touch category, Videocon has redefined the fourth screen by allowing the user to watch movies on the handset which plays the enhanced RMVB (Real Media Variable Bitrate) format enabling you to watch movies with just a touch. .

With social networking taking the centre stage, Videocon V1675 addresses the s-net platform with the V1675 which has all widget support to s-net applications. The QWERTY interface along with the optical track pad makes for a neat browsing and messaging handheld.

WD SiliconEdge Blue SSDs, in capacities up to 256 gigabytes (GB), feature a native SATA 3.0 gigabits per second (Gb/s) interface with read speeds up to 250 megabytes per second (MB/s) and write transfer rates up to 170 MB/s. 256GB USB Flash Drive from Kingston

Kingston Digital has announced the release of 256GB DataTraveler 310 USB Flash drive. The DataTraveler 310 replaces the 256GB DataTraveler 300, released in July 2009 to the Asia/Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

“We saw an opportunity to push the capacity envelope for USB Flash drives in the marketplace. Customer feedback and our research determined that this is a great solution for designers, engineers and architects who have a need to easily store and transport large data files,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “For the enthusiast who wants easy access to their full media library, theDataTraveler 310 can store up to 365 CDs, 54 DVDs or 51,000 images. This device makes an entire collection of data easily portable.”
The DataTraveler 310 features Password Traveler software, which allows the user to create and access a password-protected privacy zone. The secure area of the drive can account for up to 90 percent of the drive’s capacity and does not require administrator rights.

The DataTraveler 310 has a protective cap that snaps onto the back for the drive for convenient storage when not in use. This drive is available only in 256GB and is backed by a five-year warranty and free tech support.
