Make a Shutdown Prank

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a scary shutdown joke to your friends and shut down their computer. Replace one of their used icons on the desktop with a fake one. And when they try to open it, their computer will close.

1. Right click on the desktop and go to New -> Create Shortcut.

2. Type in the windows that appears: shutdown -s -t 60 -c "Virus Detection. Computer is shutting down." Instead of 60 you can put what value you want. It represents the time in seconds. And also between quotes you can put what message you desire.

3. Click Next and type Internet Explorer. You can write whatever you want

4. You will have a program like this on your desktop.

5. We need to change its icon to look like Internet Explorer. Right click on it and choose Properties.

6. Go to Shortcut ->Change Icon.

7. You can find the icon in the ones available or go to C:/Program Files/ Internet Explorer and select the icon from there.

8. The 'icon' will look like Internet Explorer.

9. And when you open it the computer will be closed in 60 seconds or whatever value you chosed.

10. The only way to stop the computer from shutting down is to go to Start->Run and type shutdown -a, and press Enter

Make Notepad Write On Its Own...!!!

A Notepad that writes on it own is for sure a very weird thing but very funny in the same time. And if you change the icon of the file you create with the Notepad's, and replace the Notepad icon from your friend's computer with this file for sure you will create a great prank.

1. Open Notepad.

2. Copy this script in Notepad:

set wshshell = wscript.CreateObject("wscript.shell")
wshshell.run "Notepad"
wscript.sleep 2000
wshshell.AppActivate "Notepad"
WshShell.SendKeys "H"
WScript.Sleep 500
WshShell.SendKeys "ell"
WScript.Sleep 500
WshShell.SendKeys "o "

The little program will make your Notepad type "Hello". You can always make your custom message by replacing the letters between the " " signs with the ones you want.

You can add more lines like the following ones for more letters:

WScript.Sleep 500
WshShell.SendKeys "insert here your letter of group of letters "

3. Now save the file. Go to File->Save as. Type the name of the file with the extension .vbs. For example if you want to choose the name Notepad, type Notepad.vbs. Also be sure that File type is All files not Text file!

The file will look like this.

4. When you doubleclick on it, Notepad will start typing letters.

Make A Computer Desktop Prank

If you want to make a joke to your friends to go crazy this is the right article for you. Change their computer icons with some fake ones. And when he click on them nothing happens.
Just follow the steps below to perform your prank.

1. Make a Print Screen of your desktop. You can use the Print Scrn button on your keyboard.

2. Open MS Paint go to Edit and choose Paste.

3. Go to File-> Save as and save the picture.

4. Now set the saved picture as the Desktop Wallpaper.

5.  Right click on an empty place on your desktop and choose Arrange Icons by.

7. Now click on Show Desktop Icons and make sure it is unchecked.

8. Your real icons will disappear and will remain only the screenshot you have made.

You won't be able to open any icon. And this for sure will drive mad the owner of the computer.
