According to reports, Nokia’s next-gen mobile computer, the N96, is scheduled for an October 1 launch in the UK. The handset is the upgrade to their immensely popular N95 dual slider. Its form factor, as I’ve said before looks like a hybrid of the N95 and the N81. The handset features a 3.5mm earphone socket that doubles as TV out, DVB-H TV broadcast support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP support, USB v2.0 and even though it has 16GB of internal user memory it also has support for microSD cards. The N96 is a GPS-enabled handset and also comes equipped with a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and flash. This full featured handset is estimated to cost about Rs. 32,000 (£400).We can expect this handset hopefully in time for Christmas.

Pentax Launches Optio M60 Digital Camera

Pentax has launched its new Optio M60, a standard-class compact digital camera that features an optical 5X zoom, 10.0 megapixels, plus an “Auto Picture” function, where the camera automatically detects the conditions of the subject and selects the optimal scene mode.
The camera also comes in 3 different colors, allowing users to select their favorite color.

This mode automatically adjusts the sensitivity up to a maximum of ISO 6400 in accordance with the subject’s brightness to permit a fast enough shutter speed to capture a sharp, clear image with little blurring. It comes with a 2.5-inch LCD monitor of approximately 230,000 dots. Price and availability will be announced shortly.

Anti-obesity drugs or Diet-pills refer to all pharmacological treatments intended to reduce or control weight. Because these drugs are intended to alter one of the fundamental processes of the human body, anti-obesity drugs are medically prescribed only in cases of morbid obesity, where weight loss is life-saving.
A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials by the international Cochrane Collaboration concluded that in diabetic patients found:
"Fluoxetine, orlistat, and sibutramine can achieve statistically significant weight loss over 12 to 57 weeks. The magnitude of weight loss is modest, however, and the long-term health benefits remain unclear. The safety of sibutramine is uncertain. There is a paucity of data on other drugs for weight loss or control in persons with type 2 diabetes."(Review of The BEST Diet-Pills)

Mechanism

Anti-obesity drugs operate through one or more of the following mechanisms:
Suppression of the appetite. Epilepsy medications and catecholamines and their derivatives (such as amphetamine-based drugs) are the main tools used for this. Drugs blocking the cannabinoid receptors may be a future strategy for appetite suppression.
Increase of the body's metabolism.Interference with the body's ability to absorb specific nutrients in food. For example, Orlistat (also known as Xenical and Allī) blocks fat breakdown and thereby prevents fat absorption. The OTC fiber supplements glucomannan and guar gum have been used for the purpose of inhibiting digestion and lowering caloric absorption

Anorectics (also known as anorexigenics) are primarily intended to suppress the appetite, but most of the drugs in this class also act as stimulants (dexedrine, e.g.), and patients have abused drugs "off label" to suppress appetite (e.g. digoxin).

Hard Drive (HDD)

A hard disk drive (HDD), commonly referred to as a Hard Drives, Hard Disk, fixed disk drive or Hard Disk Drive, is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. Strictly speaking, "drive" refers to a device distinct from its medium, such as a tape drive and its tape, or a floppy disk drive and its floppy disk. Early HDDs had removable media; however, an HDD today is typically a sealed unit (except for a filtered vent hole to equalize air pressure) with fixed media.

A HDD is a rigid-disk drive, although it is probably never referred to as such. By way of comparison, a so-called "floppy" drive (more formally, a diskette drive) has a disc that is flexible. Originally, the term "hard" was temporary slang, substituting "hard" for "rigid", before these drives had an established and universally-agreed-upon name. Some time ago, IBM's internal company term for an HDD was "file".

HDDs (introduced in 1956 as data storage for an IBM accounting computer) were originally developed for use with general purpose computers.
